Amounts KNEC examiners are paid. The government has come out clear on the exact amounts that the 2022 KCSE examiners will be paid per subject. The education CS said examiners who participated in marking the 2022 KCSE exams are expected to be paid this week. This is according to a report that was shared by the local media.
While speaking during an education day at the Kangaru School in Manyatta constituency in Embu on Saturday 15th July, 2023 ,Machogu revealed that amounts totalling to 2 billion Kenyan shillings had been released so as to be used in paying the KCSE examiners as well as contracted officials. As a result, all examiners who participated in the marking process for 2022 KCSE exams will receive their dues this week. In addition, all those who manned the exams are also expecting to receive their payment within the week.

The examiners had waited for so long. The report therefore relieved them and recollected their hope once again.
In accordance to reports given about the christian religious education (CRE) paper 1 and paper 2, these examiners will be paid ksh 55 for each paper marked. Examiners who marked History and Government will also receive ksh 55 per paper just like the CRE examiners.
Examiners who marked Computer Studies paper 1 will be paid ksh.54 per paper.
The examiners who marked kiswahili paper 3 are among the examiners who are expected to reap big. This is because Kiswahili paper 3 is among the best laid papers this year. Kiswahili paper 3 examiners will therefore get an amount that is slightly higher as compared to CRE, History and Government, and Computer studies. Each Kiswahili paper 3 examiner will be awarded ksh 69 for each script.
To sum up, all examiners are expecting their payment this week. They are optimistic because they have waited for so long and in addition, the government announced that they will release examiners’ dues. In addition, the government has confirmed that henceforth, examiners will be paid in time.
