All Kenyan primary and secondary schools are currently working intensively to get kids ready for their end-of-term exams. These exams are anticipated to end by the end of the semester/term.
The primary and secondary institutions are required to follow the academic terms and schedules rigorously planned by the government. Education Ministry as headed by Professor Machogu, is a special agency created by the government to oversee the education system.

Normally, the creation and distribution of the academic calendar to all schools is the duty of the Ministry of Education.
The current academic calendar calls for the closure of all primary and secondary schools in Kenya on November 3, 2023. Primary and secondary schools will let out their students on this specific day for the prolonged December break, which will continue for two straight months.
Tests for the KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education) will start on November 6, 2023, and end on November 9, 2023. The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams are consequently scheduled to start on November 10, 2023, and end on December 1, 2023.
These two national exams will be evaluated between December 4 and December 22, 2023, after which the findings will be made public.
