KUCCPS reopens revision portal. The Kenya universities and colleges central placement service(KUCCPS)recently released the third and final opportunity for applicants to submit applications.
There exists a variety of programmes open to KCSE candidates between the years of 2021 through 2022. The exercise was scheduled to run all through up to July 8.
According to the Kenya universities and colleges central placement service CEO Nancy Wahome, the exercise will not only be open to degree holders but also diploma and certificate eligible candidates.
However, reports showed that some of the students who had applied for placement were yet to be placed by the service, a scenario that prompted reopening of the portal. Consequently, those students who did not apply for programs in the earlier applications were also encouraged to apply simultaneously.
Procedure for evaluation
- First, you are required to log in in order to access the students portal. Login details are vital at this stage. The include your password and user name.
- From the top left corner of your display window, select the applications tab so as to examine application requirements.
- Identify and choose the institution from the list provided in the drop down icon in order to search for courses by specific institutions.
Choosing a programme
- Browse the institutions list and add/modify the courses already chosen for the course bracket.
- Locate and press the application/revision tab on the web page before feeding in programme codes to submit your courses of interest.
- Ensure that the programmes you selected has the programme codes.
- Counter check to be sure you are through and send in the courses selected.
Students often miss slots due to inability or negligence on following keenly the instructions given. The KUCCPS officials led by the director for placement coordination and career development John Oluoch urged students to adhere to set rules and guidelines before and during course applications. A number of unfinished applications had been witnessed in the past and it raised concerns in the service.
In as much as users can select more than a hundred courses provided by various universities, leaving them in the basket without submitting application is as good as not to have tempted to begin the process in the first place. Caution should therefore be taken.
