Knec explains why it won’t pay the deputy heads’ Cp2 exam fees.
According to the most recent information, Deputy Primary School Headteachers will not be receiving travel expense stipends, which Knec normally pays for hired professionals like drivers, teachers, and security guards. Deputy primary school heads would not be reimbursed for these costs, according to a Knec official, as they were not required to travel for the KCPE and KPSEA exams.
Teachers who oversaw, invigilated, and managed exam centers would receive paid from the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec).
The council will also pay educators who have been hired as examiners to mark these nationwide tests.
Deputy Headteachers were designated as center managers for the 2023 Grade 6 KPSEA examinations in accordance with recently implemented examination regulations requiring them to stay in school for both the KCPE and KPSEA examinations.

Previously, the Commission did not require the school deputy headteachers to be on the school grounds during certain testing times.
Under these conditions, a large number of deputy heads applied for and were hired to serve as national test supervisors and invigilators. It’s also important to note that deputies will not be paid because they were not obliged to enter their information on Knec’s CP2 platform.
