Education Employers urged to Embrace TVET Graduates.
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu is asking Kenyans, especially employers, to embrace technical and vocational training graduates just like their counterparts from colleges and universities.
Speaking during the final day of the World Skills Competition and Innovation week on Friday, CS Machogu said the government will continue to equip the youth with relevant skills as well as work towards the elimination of stigma attached to vocational training even as they promote TVETs as dignified and respectable pathways to success.
The World Skills Competition which has been running for the last five days brought together more than 150 young people who showcased their prowess in 18 different skill areas.
This year’s edition will help in selecting a team that will represent Kenya in the World Skills international competition that will take place in Lyon, France next year.
