Confirmation of acting deputy principals delay.
The government has made clear how strongly committed it is to reviving the education industry, according to Ezekiel Machogu, the cabinet secretary for education. He emphasized the hiring of 56,000 new teachers for primary and secondary schools this year, which was a record-breaking number under President William Ruto’s leadership.
CS Ezekiel Machogu reassured that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is aware of the matter in response to complaints regarding the delayed promotions of acting deputy principals. He stated that TSC will shortly publish a statement to help institutions that are experiencing a staffing shortage.
CS Machogu made these comments while he was present at the Moi Teachers Training College’s 28th graduation ceremony in Baringo.
Over 2,000 teachers are needed in both elementary and secondary schools across the county’s seven sub-counties, according to local leaders like Senator William Cheptumo and others.
Senator Cheptumo voiced disappointment over the acting deputy principals’ delayed promotions, highlighting their potential contribution to filling vacancies in particular county institutions. Joshua Kandie, a representative from Baringo Central, and Florence Jematia, a woman, accompanied him.
While MP Joshua Kandie called for coordinated efforts between the two levels of government to improve the infrastructure of regional educational institutions, some of which are currently in subpar condition, Jematia emphasized the importance of maintaining school facilities for the benefit of future generations.
He emphasized the significance of providing students with a conducive learning environment to help them achieve their educational goals.
