New Monthly Salary For Highest-Graded Teacher in Kenya.
The highest paid educator in Kenya is the principal. The Principal is in group D5, according to the Department of Teachers’ report. According to government recommendations for teacher compensation, teachers in the top grade D5 may make as least £173,422 annually.
According to the proposal, D5 level instructors will receive a minimum of Kshs. 140,577 following the seven percent wage rise, up from their present Kshs. 131,380 income. Principals who are now employed as teachers would receive Kshs. 173,422, according to a report recently made public by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
Details reveal that the salary increase has had an impact on the allowances given to different government workers. This includes teachers, civil servants, county government employees, and also members of the armed forces.
However, the pay and benefits for first-phase national government employees have been made public by the Ministry of Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative Action. The dwelling allowance will therefore vary for a number of work groups. This includes those in the lower cadre, according to the specifics.
From July 1, 2023, teachers’ and government employees’ pay will rise by 10% over the course of two years (two stages).
SRC provided more details on August 13 regarding the range of perks that will be impacted by the wage increase scheme. The properties, commuters, as well as reimbursements that will be impacted by the proposed modifications have been specified by the council.
