TSC latest news on salary increment. Being that they are the first group that is going to benefit from this salary increment, educators who have been in the profession under a specific job group for a minimum period of three years will benefit from it.
In addition to this pay increase, educators will also proceed to the next job group. This will therefore bring so many extra benefits to teachers.
The chief executive officer of the teachers service commission, Dr Nancy Macharia, has reassured teachers that the commission is already looking into measures to ensure guarantee of these promotions.
Besides, the commission has released a revised pay scale for senior educators.
According to the commission, C1 certificate holders will be transfered to C2 employment group.
Not so long from now, teachers who are at C2 will be promoted to C3 as those in C3 will be transfered to C4.
This month, all employees are expected to get a rise in their monthly pay.
The pay rise that is granted by CBA for the period 2017-2021 will be implemented this month for educators serving TSC.

There are 2,733 principal opportunities. In addition, there are 1,330, posts for educators who are qualified for promotion.
There are also 1,725 posts for deputy principal II of which 224are for deputy principal III while 208 are left for senior master II.
The treasury will therefore have to release 2 billion shillings to the commission to be used in implementing these changes.
Teachers promotions come along with additional perks which include an increase in basic pay. According to Macharia, teachers are supposed to receive salary increase and promotion as compensation for their hardwork.
It is evident that TSC has been keenly watching the situation as well as taking quick action so as to address teacher shirtage issues in the country.
