The commission promotes and supports the continuous professional development of teachers. It can achieve this by providing teachers with opportunities to enhance their skills , knowledge and teaching practice through various activities. The activities may include training programs and workshops among other professional activities that may lead to development.
9. Teachers-student ratios
The commission has the mandate to establish guidelines that regard teachers-student ratios so as to ensure that there is optimal learning environment in institutions. These are the guidelines that point out how many learners a teacher should handle in maximum in a class so as to maintain effective teaching and learning.
10. Grievance and Redress mechanisms
Mechanisms have been established by TSC fir teachers to address their complaints and grievances. Incase of any dispute or unfair treatment, teachers are free to lodge complaints or seek any assistance from TSC.
